I am a Humanistic Counsellor, based in Carslisle and take a Solution-Focused approach to my work. The Humanistic approach assumes the importance of each person’s ability to make well informed choices about his/her life and holds that it is possible to make sense and meaning of one’s own life.
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Supervision from Glasgow Caledonian University and a Master is Counselling research from the University of Abertay Dundee. My research interests include how the role of choice-making in the creation and maintenance of our narrative identity.
My work also includes Staff Supervision and I lectured part-time at Ayr College.
I am a member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. For further information visit: www.bacp.co.uk
